Sexy thing, you

Since you came along, you sexy thing – Hot Chocolate, You Sexy Thing

Just when you thought it was safe, the Jive Talkin’ 70s came roaring back with a disco flair as only that decade can.  The 1970s saw a lot of political strife, social change, and one heck of a great poster from Farrah Fawcett.  In the midst of all the pop culture of Car Wash, Smokey and the Bandit, Bee Gees, Watergate, Gilligan’s Island reruns, Star Wars, and eventually the rise of Punk, came that rollerskating, funky dancing, smokin’ hot beat of the Disco dance.  Along with Disco, came the signature styles:  The leisure suits, the polyester, and the ubiquitous shiny rayon jumpsuit.

Avatar Bizarre, is happy to present the 70’s Foxy Lady Jumpsuit.  This outfit, strong enough for a man, but made for a woman (hah, I hope I’m not the only one to get that reference!) is materials enhanced and comes in eight groovy colors.  Sorry, folks, the shoes aren’t included, but I’m sure if you asked my model nicely, she might tell you where she got those wonderful wedge heels.

Here it is, after a couple of false starts, some Firestorm issues, and a bit of a Blender SNAFU:  The female Mariachi Suit.  You, too, can be a desperado, a Charro, an equestrian.  Grab a guitar and head to the plaza with a couple of good friends and a pint of tequila.  Soon, you will be singing in harmony in this fantastic Charro suit!

Once Upon a Time in Mexico – A Mariachi Suit

 De colores, de colores
Se visten los campos en la primavera.
De colores, de colores
Son los pajaritos que vienen de afuera.
De colores, de colores
Es el arco iris que vemos lucir.- De Colores, a Traditional Mexican Folk song

Cinco de Mayo is coming up, and we’re just about set to celebrate with Mexican flags flying, ladies dancing with skirts a-whirl, and the folk music of our neighbors South of the Border.  While we enjoy Tamales, so spicy they will blow off the top of your head before you can gulp down a chilled glass of Horchata to ease the flames tracing their way through your digestive tract, let’s pay homage to the musician of the mesa; a wondrous player of the guitar, the bass, and the concertina.  I am speaking, of course, about the mighty Mariachi.

He wanders from town to town with guitar in hand, and a sombrero on his head to ward off the intensity of the midday sun.  He is the minstrel who sings his tales – everything from the colors of the sky, on up to the Ballad of Heisenberg in Breaking Bad.

Of course, he is decked out in a richly embroidered suit, once reserved for the horsemen of the desert.  The Charro suit is a traditional garment that has endured for decades.  This suit consists of long pants, short jacket, vest, shirt and bolo style tie.  The whole ensemble is topped with a matching sombrero, and fastidiously embroidered.

The Mariachi outfit from Avatar Bizarre is available male avatars currently (please try the demos first), but the female version will be available by tomorrow – – just as soon as I can meet up with my model and take pictures.  A rigged mesh suit, it is one piece, with a separate modify/copy sombrero and the ubiquitous alpha for hiding body parts you don’t want showing through this magnificent ensemble.  Shoes are not included.  It is available in six vibrant colors.  Cost is 275L.
