SLUniverse.com celebrated ten years of Hive Mind Hilarity last night with its second prom ever! It was fun, in spite of some amazing and terrifying lag, burning CPUs, spectacular crashing, non-existent frame rates, and all the usual whiz bang drollery of Second Life on a weekend.
This party, planned for two days, kicked things off a little before 2pm as I hijacked the stream with a mix of 80s and various and sundry requests. One person jokingly asked for Buck Cherry, and I jokingly threatened to cut that person. Oh, and I got called an “It” by a Taco. Yeah. good times were had by all.
The Hive Mind Director was there dancing with the Prom Lord. Many folks showed up in the sea of blue, green, and purple. As DJ I was the dateless wonder, though my shoulder dragon did look very dashing wearing a red rose boutonniere.
