We’re All Mad Here…How To Cheshire Cat

“But I don’t want to go among mad people,” Alice remarked.
“Oh, you can’t help that,” said the Cat: “we’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad.”
“How do you know I’m mad?” said Alice.
“You must be,” said the Cat, “or you wouldn’t have come here.”
Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland

Some time ago, when yours truly was making those first tentative steps into the world of mesh, I started making a bunch of fantasy outfits inspired heavily by Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, and Through the Looking Glass.  The clothing line was called, “Lewis Carroll’s Fever Dreams”, and included a half dozen gender neutral outfits:  Madder Hatter, Jabberwocky, Mock Turtle, Mitternacht Hatter, and The Cheshire Cat.

These outfits were system layer creations with unrigged mesh details, for the most part.  While system layer clothing can be really well done with some spectacular texturing, I felt that eventually these outfits would need to be replaced with fully mesh options.  The system layer versions will still be available on the Marketplace, but the latest versions are slowly filtering their way into the main store location.

Leading the charge in the meshy improvements is the Cheshire Cat.  This is a tiger-striped bit of fantasy suit deliciousness, which is not only materials enhance, but it also includes a set of mesh ears.  The suit itself is available in both male, and female versions. There are seven colors to be had and, apparently, my model and I agree we both like the teal version best.

In addition to the suit, a separate pair of Cheshire Cat shoes is available.  These are unrigged, and made to fit the ankles on SLink feet, though a well placed alpha will make them look good on regular ankles, as well.

The shoes come with a color HUD that includes all seven colors.  They cost 175L.  The suit (male and female) is 375L.

Whether you wish to be a part of Mr. Carroll’s fever dreams as you wander the Alice in Wonderland sims, or you simply want to be a stylish Neko (are they still a thing in Second Life?), this is a fantastic addition to any wardrobe.

All are currently available in the main store location.  Everything will be available on the Marketplace after the 23rd (basically whenever Linden Lab does the migration to VMM.
