Heavy Metal

Avatar-Bizarre-Metallurgist-IIIMy arrival in the infamous Steamlands was uneventful after such a prolonged absence.  I hadn’t really expected folks to realize I was back, after many long months traveling the world, creating new outfits, and generally enjoying the life of an explorer and gentleman.

I, being of the well-dressed sort, have tailored a semi-formal, yet workaday outfit of finest metals.

My latest fashion hearkens back to a fascination of metallurgy; a love of metals and alloys, and the chemical properties that can be derived from certain materials.  I was wearing my latest invention:  An outfit forged in the searing flames of the Western mountains, hammered flat and pliable, and worked into a useful shield of waistcoat armor.  The shirt, stitched together by sheer force of will, was made of finest carbon fiber.  But what good is a clothier who does not cater to the Gentleperson in us all?  A functional bow tie, a lightweight metal top hat, and metallic garters to hold up the fabric of the sleeves complete this fare.

Avatar-Bizarre-MetallurgistThe trousers, a fine fighting pair though they are, were created for those who still wish to practice the fine art of Equestrianism.  Of course, fine riding gear can also be worn while astride your fantastic two-wheeled steam bike, or driving with your lover on a bright country lane in your favorite gyrocopter.  Trousers such as these should be worn with fine Dressage, or other knee high riding boots.

Boots are sold separately, of course, as folks have their preferences.

AB-Metallurgist-IIAlas, my tale is nearly at an end, but you will find this, and other new Steam outfits available at Avatar Bizarre very soon.  This outfit, in fact, not only comes with a color HUD (giving you eight metallic colors), but it will be available for daring young women, as well as men.

For the more traditional among you, there is a gentlelady’s gown being released within the next few days as well.  My model insisted upon it, and who am I to argue with the distaff on what would look good on the lovely female form?

Stay tuned, my friends.  More to come in the tale of Avatar Bizarre’s Heavy Metal.  This outfit will be released by Monday, January 28.

In Recent Gallop Polls – Female Dressage Suit

Avatar-Bizarre-Dressage-for-Women

I had made a Dressage outfit by request some time ago.  It was a partial mesh outfit – really just the rigged coat, plus a hat and cravat.  The rest was all system layer clothing.  At the time, it was only available for male avatars, but as my skill in mesh modeling has grown, so has the selection at Avatar Bizarre.  I was recently asked if I could make a female version of this outfit and, like all so-called “easy” projects, this just sort of spiraled into a major undertaking involving lasers, duct tape, a disused space station, and a fractal black hole.

Not only did the female version happen, but SLink and Omega clothing appliers were added for the system layers, so mesh body enthusiasts can throw on a Dressage outfit.  To make this even more up to date and amazing, the coat is now on a color change HUD and includes all eight colors previously available for this outfit.  What would you pay for such a fine set of Ginsu knives?  Don’t call yet, because there’s more!  The original system layer pants were all black, but matched the suit color via piping down the outside leg.  Each color, plus a plain white pant is included in the SLink and Omega HUDs.  For those die hards who don’t wear mesh bodies, there’s a fine collection of system layer pants (on the underpant layer) in all colors.  The shirt (white) and gloves (black) are on the HUDs and are included as system layers as well.  Completing this set are the unrigged hat and cravat, and coat alpha.

Just to make it even more fun, there are six sizes in the collection, including a flat chested femboy size (for femboys, child avatars, and furries).

Then, because I’m not one to let a project go without fully embracing the improviness of it all, the male version was reuploaded for a better fit on the different male avatar sizes.  Of course the male version got the same treatment as the female version (noted in the previous blog post).

It’s exciting!  You can get this on the Marketplace for now.  Inworld access will happen very soon.

Because it’s fun to include the odd song lyric, have some Echo and the Bunnymen:

“Billy stands all alone
Sinking sand, skin and bone
Bring on the dancing horses
Wherever they may roam
Shiver and say the words
Of every lie you’ve heard” – Echo and the Bunnymen

Unhallowed Metropolis – Phinaea Suit

 Grabilla screen capture:

In a city, dark and eerie, surrounded by the Vernian Wastelands, a lone figure emerges from the increasing fog in a final showdown…

She gazes unblinkingly at the menacing Dirigible of Doom, flown by her mortal arch-nemesis, a mad man bent on destroying the whole of civilization for his own nefarious gain. Reaching for the weapon in her coat, a powerful electrically charged object designed by Nicola Tesla himself, she takes aim and fires.  The white-hot lightning projects from the muzzle, hitting the dirigible, enveloping it in a blaze so super heated that a shock wave from the explosion could be felt for several hundred meters.  Phinaea remains stoic, unflinching, as her hair is blown back by the shockwave.  The war machine of her arch nemesis seems to drift lazily to the ground, supports and beams floating gently in all directions.  She bends down to retrieve her top hat, wipes a film of dust and soot from the goggles, and wanders off…

Phinaea is the counterpart to the mad men of the Steam age; a woman of strength, who is highly intelligent, yet lives in a Patriarchal society that values beauty over brains.  She works in secret as an agent of Artifact Recovery, seeking out devices and strange items imbued with magical properties, many of which are highly dangerous in any hands.  She is an author, using a famous pseudonym to publish her very real adventures as fiction.  She is Phinaea.

The suit worn by the Inventor, Author, and Adventurer is a twist on a previous release from Avatar Bizarre.  The Phinaea is rigged mesh that has been materials enhanced, and includes a full suit with pocket chain, and a high top hat with tintable goggles.

Become the adventurer you always wanted to be, and do it in style with this beautifully crafted outfit, made from the finest mesh velvet brocade, and lovingly stitched with the strongest of pixel threads.  The sleeves and pants cuffs were made to accommodate SLink hands and feet.  As with all things at Avatar Bizarre, this ensemble is available in several stunning colors.  Available inworld and on the Marketplace.
